In the hellish future of 2044, human beings have become stupefied by the state of permanent happiness they’ve been genetically altered to experience. ‘Dumb’ Jack offers relief via drugs that bring his customers the welcome phenomenon of pain. But when Jack receives a mysterious videotape of his dead father, he sets out to unmask the dangerous conspiracy that has created this dystopian world.

In Kim Lenz’s cool new video for Zombie For Your Love, she goes on a full moon date to the wildest bar in town and shows her date why she’s ‘not like other girls’. Sound familiar? Yes, it’s a not-so-subtle nod to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, though the video was started in June, before he passed away.

 

Ever wondered what super blinged out trucks look like? Wonder no more. In these electric photos by Minakawa, these Japanese monster trucks are presented like the stars of a gaudy Times Square billboard, complete with strobe lights, menacing grills and oversized everything. Read more

Disorder Disorder in Sydney

Pitched as ‘Ulterior Motives in Contemporary Art’, Disorder Disorder is running until November 14 at Penrith Regional Gallery. It’ll be well worth the trip out west of Sydney: the Australian, Japanese, American and European cast reads like a warriors of street art roundup and includes Mike Giant, Ed Templeton, Anthony Lister [artwork above], Ozzie Wright, and Jonathan Zawada.
