Melbourne designer Lilian Darmono and her co-director partner Mungo Horey were asked by Red Bee to come up with some ideas for the new children’s channel, ABC 3 Australia. Their idea for it ‘was centered around a magical world, in the shape of a giant 3, where all kinds of amazing things take place and unfold’. [See more Australian art and design at The Colour]

This clip had such an impact on me when it first came out, back in the day. There’s just something so poignant about the idea that some people you pass on the street everyday have a little bit more insight into their world — our world — than we could ever imagine. It’s beautiful and confronting, and it’s all set to the most wonderfully evocative music.

They have a much more complex and technical approach than other bands of this ilk, revealing post-hardcore and death metal influences as evidenced by guitarist Andrew Hock’s work in deathgrind outfit Biolich and Boston jazz/death/doom band Ehnahre.
