The sunny days are back as Spring begins to taste like Summer in Barcelona. Time to get ready for the Summer festival season, starting with Primavera Sound, the leading event (along with the Sonar Festival). This year’s edition includes more than 70 bands featuring big names like The Cure, Franz Ferdinand, Wilco, Justice and The Rapture (Björk cancelled a few days ago) and a perfect selection of leading indie artists like Beach House, Atlas Sound, Beirut, Grimes, The Walkmen, The XX, M83 to name a few.

Cure People: a series of portraits of The Cure fans

Scott Witter is an advertising and editorial photographer based out of Los Angeles and represented by Wonderful Machine. He writes: ‘Cure People is a series of images I’ve been creating since this past November of diehard fans of the musical group The Cure. I’m a longtime fan myself and was inspired to do the project at a Cure concert back in 2011 at the Pantages Theater. As of now I have photographed over 20 fans and plan to keep shooting’. Space Cowboy is a track from the new Space March album, Monumental, and is mixed by legendary producer Mark Saunders (The Cure, Erasure, Depeche Mode, A-ha, Tricky). The video was shot in Mungo National Park in outback Australia and features many fancy video effects to distract you from my over-acting.
