I love the work of Sydney graffiti and stencil artist Emily Hasselhoof. Bold, bright and bizarre, her images are like the dreams of a serial tripper. Evil little girls dressed in fluorescent garb commit unspeakable acts while green rabbits are devoured by sharks and odd little ponies masquerade as equine medusas. Hasselhoof regularly exhibits around town. I caught her show at Ruban Rat in Newtown last year where I was blown away by her fantastic use of colour. Read more

Describing the work of my friend, Melbourne artist Gervaise Netherway, it’s hard not to notice the impalpable resemblence to the likes of Basquiat and Salvador Dali. Whether deliberate or not, he constructs that same surreal neo-impressionism. I can’t wait to hang one on my wall. Read more

Frontwoman Emilie Bresson is one of those rare female singers in metal that’s at once fierce and raspy, yet identifiably female, creating a haunting, menacing sound that can stand up against the most ragingly macho bands out there.

New York-based illustrator and sometime Lost At E Minor contributor, Fernanda Cohen, has just finished a line of four tees for The Gap as part of the (RED) campaign. The t shirts will be coming out this fall. Read more
