Max Zorn is a street artist who creates beautiful, amber tinged portraits, and all he needs is tape and a cutter. His work has a cinematic feel to it, probably enhanced by the fact that he often sticks his creations onto lamp posts, letting the light do the work for him. Read more

Melbourne-based street artist Reka has a solo exhibition on the weekend March 29-30th at Sydney’s China Heights Gallery. Reka’s ‘work can be seen lurking in alleyways and hiding in train tunnels. Tall Oaks is an exhibition of abstracted fantasy illustration using symbolism and pop icons to convey messages about mans’ interaction and relationship with nature. There is a hand made element to this show with the use of natural materials including found objects, wood and hand stretched canvas as mediums for the artwork’. Read more

The issue of abortion has hardly ever been represented so honestly by a movie. Knocked Up and Juno gave the pro-choice movement a boost, and of those two, only Juno came close to confronting the issue. In the Princess of Nebraska, the main character suffers through indecision, naivety and turmoil that seem much closer to reality. Read more
Perimeter Books in Melbourne is a small bookshop and art space, full of beautiful surprises. I always feel inspired to make fresh new drawings after going there.
Found photos are nothing new, but Internet K-Hole is a nice little blogspot that has some pretty choice images sure to suck you in, including some rarely-seen ones of people like Nirvana, NWA, and Fabio. Some images are NSFW, but they’re not that bad. Read more
The AP Tour brought metalcore music heavyweights and a convoy of sponsor vans head-first into a stormy Seattle last night. The Hurley denim reps were rattled; they’d endured a long drive from Utah through what they described as the worst weather they’d ever experienced. Joking around with them before the show I realised how shaken up these guys actually were; hands were still shaking and their laughter was racked by nerves. Read more
Omar Seluj [pronounced Oh-ma Sir-luge] is a boutique sunglasses operation created by two Sydney guys who wanted to craft original designs in limited numbers for the sunglasses aficionado. The result is the debut range consisting of two styles in three different colours. All Omar Seluj sunnies are hand-crafted acetate, have spring hinges and boast UV 400 lenses.
