After reading Jens Lapidus’s Stockholm Noir Trilogy, I came across his spin off, the graphic novel Gängkrig 145 (Gang War 145), which is illustrated by Peter Bergting. My Swedish is far from great, but the visuals are exceptional: each frame a piece of art capturing the dark, urban mood of the Swedish underworld that differs from his usual fantasy style, as in The Portant.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
