This nifty little piece of technology allows you to indulge into music whilst on the go. For any music freak, this iPod dock is an essential to the good life. It has a genuinely innovative approach to music. The novelty comes from the fact that the Gear4 DUO can be physically split into two pieces, with the bulky back left behind and the front acting like a portable stereo speaker system. Black and sleek, it is not only well designed but sounds great. As it’s only meant for domestic enjoyment and outside use, it still retains the quality of high class audio. It also comes with a remote and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, so you can picnic whilst banging your head to Iggy Pop! How cool is that?

I have such a soft spot for all things adorable. That most certainly includes the work of artist Tamar Mogendorff. Her stitched creations are a bit The Nightmare Before Christmas and a tad Raggedy Anne, but what I wouldn’t give to have a few of these strewn throughout my apartment.
Mexican architecture firm Senosiain Arquitectos recently designed a shell-shaped dwelling for a Mexico City couple. The owners are already living in their new abode with their two very happy children. Sufjan Stevens creates autistic music for introverts — soft, shy, naive, full of shadows, windows, and insecurities. Yet it all sounds slightly forced, his enigmatic songwriting as comforting as it is unsettling.
Given the amount of talent he has, it’s a mystery why German producer Pantha Du Prince not received more attention than he has. His minimal tech soundscapes are surprisingly melodic and moody, as reflected on his epic track, Asha, as good a starting point to the music of this German electro whiz as any.
