In 1995 Hans Van Der Meer set out to create a different sort of sports photography book going away from the cliched traditions of glossy pictures of massive stars and instead concentrated his efforts on capturing football in its most original form. He travelled the world shooting pictures of the most interesting amateur football pitches he could find and it makes for something really quite interesting. Definitely worth a look at if you’re interested in football or pictures of grass.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
