Boris Mikhailov was born in 1938 in Kharkov, Ukraine. ‘Here and now’: this is his principal credo in photography. He made a series of photos called Case History, which are pictures of homeless people after the breakdown of the Soviet Union. It’s one of the best works found within social documentary photography.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
