Obsessed Simpsons fan builds scale model of the entire town of Springfield out of 500,000 LEGO bricks
At the start of 2014, LEGO announced the latest in the series of crossovers with successful franchises such as Star Wars and Harry Potter. Now it’s the turn of The Simpson’s to feature in the world of bricks as LEGO released a collection of minifigures in February.
We all remember Futurama, Matt Groening’s second brainchild and sparkly younger brother to The Simpsons. Although no new episodes are in the mix, or have been for a while, the show still sits in the collective memories of teenagers and twenty-somethings the world over.
Back in the 80’s when The Simpsons first aired on TV, Homer, Marge and the kids looked a whole lot different than they do today. Marge’s blue hair was nowhere near as tall as it is today, and Bart’s expression was a lot less cheeky and a lot more aggressive.
