<p>The use of the tree in the realm of the fine arts seems infinite. An inspired <a href="http://www.shihyunyeo.com/" target="_blank">Shih Yun Yeo</a> recently conceived of a <a href="http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2017100?ce=blurb_ew&amp;utm_source=widget " target="_blank">truly unique study</a>. The artist engaged in ‘collaboration’ with various trees in Singapore, collecting a number of drawings for a solo exhibition in 2011. The work relates heavily to her attempt to &#8216;release drawing from its enslavement to the artist&#8217;s hand&#8217;. Poetic and romantic, the expression <a href="http://www.shihyunyeo.com/index.php?option=com_morfeoshow&amp;task=view&amp;gallery=11&amp;Itemid=57" target="_blank">cedes control to the natural environment</a> as a creative source. Green envy. <span id="more-89317"></span><br />
