Most of the objects we use every day are totally underestimated, if not even almost non-existent to our minds. Turkish artist Sakir Gökçebag values the simple and the beauty that lies within. By taking the ordinary out of the ordinary he is shifting its context and giving it a new aesthetic, making him think about the things he is surrounded by on a daily basis without acknowledging its true elegancy.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
