This stunningly gorgeous film by Xavier Chassaing was pieced together from about 35,000 still photographs, allowing for depth-of-field changes impossible with motion film. To up the wow factor, Chassaing, with the the help of Mathieu Cablet, used projection mapping to make the flowers look like they are exploding with living light.
With their dynamic and exciting electro-pop sound, Brooklyn group School of Seven Bells are just about the hottest thing out of the borough this year since fluoro coloured hair combs made their omnipresent comeback. Read more

Silver Summit make the sort of hazy psych-folk that would suit a long, night-time drive through the badlands. This ‘communication prosthesis’ by designer Sascha Nordmeyer is hilarious and awesome. I want to wear one to a job interview.
In 2008, graphic designer Becky Edgington and illustrator Sarah Beetson created two limited-edition packs of playing cards featuring images from Beetson’s exhibition, 50 Bucks: Bring On The Sluts. The images were selected from almost 500 small artworks created on moleskine paper, inspired by vintage pornography and a trip to Japan. Read more
