With an appetite for robots and Samurais, I came across the work of illustrator Crom-Cristian Ortiz, who with a tint of propaganda posters, pictures young warriors in a world where having a companion pet seems as mandatory as it is to belong to some epic Mecha army in quest for honour and glory. Cool and fun stuff which makes me feel twelve years old again.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
