London-based artist Richard Hughes incorporates incongruous looking objects into his work to create art that is sometimes humorous. Inviting questions as to the history and function of the pieces, upon closer inspection, these objects reveal themselves as meticulously cast replicas of readily available every-day objects.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
