As a student in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Oliveira harvested the remains of the fence outside his window, which had begun to peel and break in layers of color, and turned it into a hurricane of art for his senior show. Tapumes, Portuguese for the wood Oliveira uses, is ubiquitous throughout Sao Paulo. Each piece has been recycled from dumpsters and landfills all over Sao Paulo and are tucked into PVC skeleton structures to achieve the desired look. Oliveira&#8217;s newest show, appropriately named Tapumes, will be on display between March 26 and May 9 at the <a href="http://www.ricegallery.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Rice Gallery</a> in Houston, Texas. <span id="more-16401"></span><br />
