London-based mental-health nursing student Daryl Cunningham has posted a chapter on his blog from his forthcoming comic Psychiatric Tales addressing the realities and myths surrounding mental illness.
Illustrator MessyMsxi has a diverse, distinctive style. She does lots of cleaner text based work, but also some wonderfully loose drawings. I love the way she does faces.
A Darth Vader action figure riding a kitten like it’s a tauntaun? Sure, why not. I just hope he doesn’t wind up cutting it open to make a sleeping bag.

Pitched as ‘Ulterior Motives in Contemporary Art’, Disorder Disorder is running until November 14 at Penrith Regional Gallery. It’ll be well worth the trip out west of Sydney: the Australian, Japanese, American and European cast reads like a warriors of street art roundup and includes Mike Giant, Ed Templeton, Anthony Lister [artwork above], Ozzie Wright, and Jonathan Zawada.
