Archigram is recognised as an influencer of many of the world’s greatest contemporary architects and buildings. Exhibitions of their work from 1961-1974 have been touring major institutions worldwide since 1992, and Archigram was awarded the RIBA Gold Medal in 2002. Despite this, the architectural vision of Archigram is mainly unbuilt and the bulk of their visionary work remained difficult to access, largely stored domestically or in temporary storage.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
