Our friends over at the inspiring blogzine, Flak Photo, which features ‘work from an international community, promoting interesting visual approaches to seeing the world and celebrating the art of exhibiting quality photography online’ have teamed up with David Wright and Ethan Jones to show a selection of images [including the one above by Alejandro Cartagena] from the photographic book, Pause, to Begin. Yat-Kha are a stunning Tuvan band that combines throatsinging and traditional folk music with straight-up rock. Their album ReCovers is an awesome collection of covers of songs by Led Zeppelin, Joy Division, and Motörhead among many others, reflecting their general approach to music on the rest of their impressive catalog. Despite the modern elements, the Moscow-based group still conjures the vast steppes and endless skies of the small Russian republic in southern Siberia.

AJ Dimarucot is a Manila-based designer specializing in t-shirt graphics. His work is electric, bursting with colour and momentum, like something you’d see in the Big Bang section at the Museum of Natural History. Or something like that. Read more
