		<p>What do you do when your phone rings at a bad time? Your first instinct is probably to give it a good smack. What you&#8217;re likely to act on, though, is to press a little button to silence it. Yep, we’ve been conditioned to use buttons to control phones. <a href="http://www.patentbolt.com/2012/09/microsoft-patent-how-to-silence-your-device-by-whacking-it-off.html" target="_blank">Microsoft</a>, however, has identified this perfectly human urge to smack that bad, bad phone, and now, has gone as far as to patent controling a mobile device’s audio signals in response to, well, whacking it. It sounds like a silly patent, but hey, we want that feature! <span id="more-116643"></span></p>
