What do you do when your phone rings at a bad time? Your first instinct is probably to give it a good smack. What you’re likely to act on, though, is to press a little button to silence it. Yep, we’ve been conditioned to use buttons to control phones. Microsoft, however, has identified this perfectly human urge to smack that bad, bad phone, and now, has gone as far as to patent controling a mobile device’s audio signals in response to, well, whacking it. It sounds like a silly patent, but hey, we want that feature!
