I wish I could remember where I first stumbled across the work of Oregon artist and illustrator Evan B Harris, but I’m glad I did. There’s an innate sweetness, a comforting whimsical quality in Harris’ work that, coupled with his rich narratives, makes me want to hunt for that old teddy bear I used to curl up with and wash down the nostalgia with strong mug of steaming hot chocolate.

Inspired by Hayao Miyazaki and Satochi Kon anime and post-war Japanese advertisements and graphic design, illustrator Richard Wilkinson also brings in touches of cinema and 50s poster design to his elegant, line-driven images. His careful palette of muted colors creates a glowing, mysterious atmosphere. Read more
I disagree, but the Tights are not pants manifesto is pretty funny. There’s some history and arguments on why tights shouldn’t be worn as pants, and a downloadable kit with printable flyers to spread the word. A commendable effort. Do you agree tights are not pants? I’m all for tights as pants, as long they’re, ahem, worn well.
