Imagine going to work, looking up from your computer and not seeing fluorescent lighting. Or better yet, not seeing stark white walls. If you live and work in London, this might be a reality because a brand new pop-up office has emerged in the city’s Hoxton Square.
You might not have won the ‘Employee of the Month’ award, but at least you can have this. Actually, everyone can have it. Pop artist Will Bryant (previously) has created a novelty award for those employees wasting away their lives in useless, repetitive meetings.
Sitting down is bad for you, agreed? Dutch design firm RAAAF thinks so too, and they are now addressing this lifestyle hazard in the workplace with an office design that takes away chairs and tables altogether. The idea is to put up forms of varying slopes and angles for light leaning support, while encouraging workers people to move about as they work.
