Kunstradio is a sound art radio station from Zurich in Switzerland, home of the Dada movement. I worked with this station in 1999, where I streamed a sound art piece, Frozen Teardrop in Space, as part of the Ars Electronica festival from Linz Austria. I collaborated with Colin Fallows at Ars Electronica and participated in the 24 hours live streaming web mix broadcast on Kunstradio. The radio station broadcasts sound works from all over the world 24 hours a day. You never have to listen to Bieber again!

Somewhere not that deep inside of me, there’s a fifteen year old girl who loves Blink 182, Airwalk treads and a guy called Bernard who hung out with his cargos around the plump rounds of his backside at the half-pipe around the corner from the footy field. In fact, that girl is now sitting in front of her Macbook with huge puppy eyes and swooning all the way back to 1997 with a new blog called The Skartorialist: The Sartorialist equivalent of skater boys from around the globe. The creation of London-based commercial and editorial photographer, Sam Ashley, it should also be known as ‘Painfully cute and perve-worthy lads around the world holding decks’.

Full disclosure, I do a lot of hosting work for these guys, so I’m biased. But I started as a fan, and I still think that Radio 3 is light years ahead of anyone else when it comes to internet broadcasting. If there’s any justice, in a few years when internet radio is the norm, people will look back at what Radio 3 is doing now and recognise that they more or less laid the tracks for the whole damn thing.
