Our latest single was tracked at Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, New York. Then vocals were added at Continental Recording Studios in Long Island City, Queens. Then the tracks were mixed and mastered at The Cutting Room in Manhattan NYC. Three Boroughs for two songs.

As a fan of both The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and The Magnetic Fields, it’s my lucky day. The Pains will release a new 7” single in October via Slumberland Records featuring a cover of Jeremy by The Magnetic Fields. The record also features East River Pipe’s My Life is Wrong as the B-side. The song has a special connection with Peggy Wang (keyboards/vocals); ‘The Magnetic Fields might have been the last band I ever unconditionally loved without ever stopping to try to understand why – just the kind of love story I hoped to one day live through.’ The single is now streaming over at the fans’ Tumblr.
