Body and movement have always been an interesting subject matter to me. Body language can speak such an intimate, potent language. Using gestures of form, a person can share what lies underneath their exterior and in one small movement you have the power to make someone feel at ease or a tiny twitch can be cause for an offensive type of energy, shooing a person away. Loyal Loot Collective makes this stunning collection of bowls made out of logs. A variety of fallen and discarded trees are locally collected, repurposed into bowls, and then finished in a beautiful range of colors. Read more

Not much more needs to be said about this. Ricky Gervais, the funniest man in England, meets Larry David, the funniest man in America. Wit and genius collides. Very, very clever.

When you first see The Gershwin Hotel, you might think it’s an art gallery or a public art installation. The white, bird-like shapes sticking out of its red facade is certainly unique, without being too loud. The rooms are rather small but the location and accessible price range makes it all worth it.

The work on the Buero NY website is amazing — it’s my art direction obsession! So much work, so many cool clients … what a fantasy.

Bay Area duo The Human Quena Orchestra sounds like a skyscraper falling in slow motion with their scraping, crashing, screeching drone pounded out of guitars, samplers, and circuit-bent electronics. Listen to their track Progress below.
