A friend sent me a few videos of Emily Wells performing and I was instantly hooked. Her innovative sound, made from a violin, toy instruments, and digital loops, is a new frontier in music. Unlike experimental music for the sake of being different, Emily’s sound radiates soul and purpose. Watching her perform Symphony 1: In the Barrel of a Gun [above], is what first got me. And her cover of Biggie’s Juicy [below] is simply amazing.
