Next time you pick up a Forbes magazine, check to see if it’s got free wifi. Yes, that’s right, Microsoft is giving out free wifi in a select number of Forbes magazines. The magazine is equipped with free wifi for fifteen days, and up to five devices can connect at a time. The magazine router lasts three hours before it needs to be charged, but you really can’t complain about free internet. You go, Microsoft.

So when we found out about how a Redditor and his friend “took care of a graffitied swastika” by covering it up with the Windows 95 logo, we completely understood. Bet the Windows logo design guys never saw this coming when they came up with it 17 years ago.

What do you do when your phone rings at a bad time? Your first instinct is probably to give it a good smack. What you’re likely to act on, though, is to press a little button to silence it. Yep, we’ve been conditioned to use buttons to control phones. Microsoft, however, has identified this perfectly human urge to smack that bad, bad phone, and now, has gone as far as to patent controling a mobile device’s audio signals in response to, well, whacking it. It sounds like a silly patent, but hey, we want that feature!
