Ok, so this is just about the most amazing thing I’ve seen. Willard Wigan is a micro-artist who creates tiny, highly intricate artworks from the most extraordinary of sources. He once accidentally inhaled an Alice in Wonderland sculpture he was working on. No joke! Neither is the fact that he recently sold his entire collection of works for $20 million. Not bad for a guy who, by his own admission, can’t read or write.
Japanese artist Ikeda Manabu creates the most detailed, expressive, and awe inspiring artwork which literally rolls across the canvas with subtle colours amidst waterless wave-like formations. Each work is constructed upon a series of intricate miniatures which play out across broader themes of unrest and movement. Read more

Comedy troupe Summer of Tears edited itself into the classic ’80s movie Teen Wolf, starring Michael J. Fox, providing a new and gut-bustingly hilarious side-plot.
What If H.R.Giger, Miquel Barcelo and a seasick alien got really drunk and decide to decorate a Pizzeria? The answer is the U Costella Pizzeria in the heart of Prague. And if the visual experience is not enough for you, they sometimes have the Gipsy Kings as background music.
San Francisco-based illustrator Luke Feldman has just had his first children’s book published, Chaff n’ Skaffs: Mai and the Lost Moskivvy, a collaboration with writer Amanda Chin. The book artfully tells the story of Mai, ‘a young girl who never ventured too far from her home. When a lost mosquito interrupts Mai’s sleep, her friend Chaff suggests they escort Moskivvy back home to a faraway land. So begins a courageous girl’s voyage into a fantastic world’, all communicated beautifully through Feldman’s colorful, dynamic and considered illustrations. Read more
Give me a minor key song anytime. Yup, I’ll take the heartfelt purity of an introspective trawl over any warm and fuzzy major key shimmy. I once asked UK band The Editors why there aren’t more cheerful songs in the world: ‘Three words’, vocalist Tom Smith replied. ‘Shiny Happy People’. He smirked. I grimaced. Enough said.

My friend Josh Van Horne, a local Baltimore artist, did this amazing mural in our neighborhood that depicts the history of this warehouse-laden area.
