A Planetary Order is an art project by Martin John Callanan featuring a ‘terrestrial globe showing clouds from one single moment in time, thereby subtly highlighting the fragility and interdependence of the Earth’s environmental systems’. The data to make the globe came from satellites overseen by NASA and the European Space Agency. Read more

Comedy troupe Summer of Tears edited itself into the classic ’80s movie Teen Wolf, starring Michael J. Fox, providing a new and gut-bustingly hilarious side-plot.
This house on two levels of medium size was built on a hill on a trapezoidal plot in a suburb in the district of Hyogo, overlooking Osaka Bay, with whitewashed walls and a sloping pitched roof. Read more
Is the soul colored or is it black and white? I find this quite confusing, since I believe that a colored soul is necessary for producing colored things. But then again, I’m sure that true color often comes from the deepest broken, damaged and divided black of one’s soul. Digital Jacklight is a mission to try and find out.
A broken snare drum rolling gently over a scratchy acoustic guitar; a deep lyrical catharsis smothering a melody which is predictable but endearing. Your Rocky Spine by Great Lake Swimmers is a magical song; all wrapped up in three and half minutes of lustful introspection.

Pitched as ‘Ulterior Motives in Contemporary Art’, Disorder Disorder is running until November 14 at Penrith Regional Gallery. It’ll be well worth the trip out west of Sydney: the Australian, Japanese, American and European cast reads like a warriors of street art roundup and includes Mike Giant, Ed Templeton, Anthony Lister [artwork above], Ozzie Wright, and Jonathan Zawada.
