The very talented Jess Snow, the first video artist to be featured by Female Persuasion — the original site for provocative and political female artists — has created this ethereal short video for Lost At E Minor. Spontaneous, loose and moody, like a hurricane blasting through an art supply store, the work of Washington artist Garric Simonsen is just a little Basquiat — with droll humor mixed up and splattered all over a canvas. I can’t help but chuckle at titles like Damn I Just Ruined My Best Shirt and Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha.
Designer Mac Funamizu has really hit the jackpot with this. His latest invention, the cryptically named Sophie, is an iPhone case which prints photos just like a Polaroid. Simply take the picture, then print the photo out the bottom of the case. Genius! Now, who will start mass-producing this concept so we can buy one? Read more
Ten Masked Men are a British parody band that does death metal covers of famous pop songs by Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, and many others. One of my favorites is their cover of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me a River’. It’s epic.
Berlin-based artist Ralf Schmerberg built this igloo out of 322 refrigerators to comment on the energy we waste on a day to day basis.
Cheese and Burger a great site to check out, with about 30 different burger options. Here you can find a selection of States with different burger recipes from each, along with a voiceover of a man who sounds like Mike Buffer. Fun.
Stylistically The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is hard to pin down, except to say that they throw one hell of a party – which may be why those music-loving folks at Apple chose them to help sell what’s being touted as ‘the funnest iPod ever’. Sun-drenched pop melodies collide with Technicolor dreams, anchored by the band’s shared love of the classic soul stylings of Marvin, Stevie and Sly that can be heard in the horns snaking through Around The Bend, as well as the slinky The Sun Ain’t Shining No More [below], the Thomas Gold remix of which we have available for free download in the Music Download section of Lost At E Minor [psst, it's in the third column], along with a stack of other cool tunes. Get those iPods ‘a thumpin’!

Now this is fun. This 3D watch dial actually jumps to life. The dial is a modern version of the 19th century art form of lithophanes: carved porcelain sheets that, when lit, deliver astoundingly detailed images. When the pusher is activated, the dial springs to life in 3D, with an LED light and afterglow effect.
