Nick Lu is an illustrator and designer based in Los Angeles who graduated from the Art Center College of Design. His work is like scattered memories across an endless canvas, built from tiny fragments of half-thought day-dreams.
I like the earthy realism of illustrator Rob Bridges’ work. Of his work, he says: ‘From my earliest memory, I have always drawn. As a child in school I never liked to read. My father and teacher’s remedy was to draw pictures on the inside flaps of my school books. Somehow this was meant to boost my interest in reading. Yet, it created a child who took great pleasure drawing on the inside flaps of all my father’s books and papers’.
Working out of Los Angeles, artist Josh Cochran creates amazing illustrations with a well-developed eye for detail and colour. He grew up in Taiwan, spending most of his time indoors, drawing fantastic creatures and comic book characters.
