OK, so this is the world’s first electronica music video made entirely from cardboard. The creation of London animator, Tony Comley, the track is for Push Door to Exit by Alexander’s Annexe, which is out through Warp records. Very cool.

Trevor Jackson is a London-based creative, working in many fields including graphic design, art direction, moving image, music writing, remixing and production, installations and performance. Trevor’s passion for pushing new ideas without compromise never tires. He recently combined his audio and visual talents with an installation for the launch of the BMW1 series car, and a debut live a/v performance for the ONEDOTZERO festival in Tokyo 2005, This project is currently being expanded into a full sound reactive experience to be toured in the near future.

Highly unwearable but aesthetically riveting, Nova Dando is making killer waves in the notoriously hard to crack London fashion scene. Perhaps the reason she is so visible is that her collections are consistently outrageous, exceptional and innovative showstoppers. Her latest, inspired by a disco den, stands out from the pack for it’s blanket use of black, verging away from the stalwart shade only to hint at silver occasionally. It’s a refreshing take on an old favorite of the fashion underground, even more so after last season’s visual abomination of fluoro. An expert when it comes to that line between costumes and clothes, Nova Dando excels when making clothes that will perform, and for the dancefloor set, they won’t find a more impressive way to stand out. Nor will they likely find a more appropriate dancefloor to practice their performance art than Nova Dando’s herself, where she pairs with Lou Hayter of New Young Pony Club to become Lou-Nova.

Gareth Pugh is from England, is 25, and has been shaking up the fashion scene from London to New York since Fall 2006 when he sent his models down the runway in ruffles, Doc Martens and face paint. Continuing to be creative with his shows, this year his designs are radical and have a dark humor that makes them surprisingly wearable. Pugh has been featured in American Vogue and W, and even worked with fashion genius Rick Owens. His spring collection uses leather and black hosiery. The hosiery is my favorite. You can use it to layer under dresses, jackets, shorts and skirts.

London-based graphic design student, Kathryn Lewis, has just completed a project around the notion of the chronobiology. She spent a day avoiding all conventional clocks and relied purely on her own inner clock to wake her up, get me to her lectures and take her home on time, whilst recording her feelings every hour. She says of the project: ‘I wanted to create a new visual language to depict how in tune I am with my inner clock so I made a photogram for each hour of the day, using folded up pieces of tracing paper. The more shattered and disrupted the photogram, the more disorientated I was’.
