Design study, anthropological investigation, or just urban environment observations? Posters in Amsterdam is a project that takes a collective look at the advertising allsorts that line the heresaid city’s streets.

An initiative by art director Jarr Geerligs, the project creates an interesting mosaic out of the day-to-day sight of large format print ads. For a closer look, posters can be viewed on a larger scale individually upon clicking on them. Not just about the aesthetics, the site also features interviews with some key local poster designers about the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of poster design.
