On a recent trip to New York I became the proud owner of a kid robot swatch watch designed by Frank Kozik. There are eight artists in this kid robot collection: Tara Mcpherson, Gary Baseman, Joe Ledbetter, Jeremyville, SSUR Ruslan Karablin, Tilt, MAD, and Frank Kozik. With each watch you get your own little dunny, also designed by the artist. With the Frank Kozik watch, you pay a little extra and you get a big dunny with your watch.

The original New York porthole into Japanese Kyju and vinyl toy culture, Toy Tokyo is back with a new East Village storefront showcase for cutting-edge designer sculpture. Along with other luminaries such as Kid Robot, Toy Tokyo has filled the void between the comic book shop and the art gallery with some of the most intriguingly beautiful and affordable art ever created.

Grown men who get excited over Kid Robot products and ‘adult’ toys generally give me the heebie-jeebies, but Lego’s new Lego Architecture division gets me pretty excited. Soon you’ll be able to build iconic buildings such as Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and the Guggenheim Museum, in addition to the Taj Mahal, the Sears Tower, the Seattle Space Needle, and others already available.

Blind is an amazing flash game that borders on high art. The point of the game is to maneuver through the darkness, feeling out the various features — ladders, steps, doors — that will lead you to a voice calling out for help. Pretty creepy and fun.
The very talented Jess Snow, the first video artist to be featured by Female Persuasion — the original site for provocative and political female artists — has created this ethereal short video for Lost At E Minor. These twin sixty-story towers to be built in Malaysia feature a combination of ‘continuous, flowing, double-curved perforated surface with a flickering, crystalline, transparent single-curved surface that is triangulated on an enormous scale’. The design by New York-based architectural firm, Asymptote, includes a 400,000 square foot retail section and the Penang Performing Arts centre.
