Kelsey Simmen is a type one diabetic and a crazy talented jewelry designer. The best part is that she fuses these things together into an eclectic collection of wearable art. She also donates percentages of her sales to the Diabetic Youth Foundation. Her condition has become her inspiration and led to the creation of works that are cast from diabetes pumps, home grown sugar crystals, and colorful flip tops of insulin bottles. She’s successfully taken a disease and turned it into something beautiful and full of hope.
