Major swoon over the incredible mixed media paintings by JUURI. The artist’s work is a product of a mixed cultural heritage, drawing on historical Japanese themes entwined with contemporary Western elements. Her mixed media work features surreal females and environments, complete with dreamy paint washes and sections of gold leaf. We are pleased to offer a limited collection of JUURI’s signed and numbered giclee prints in the Lost At E Minor store.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
