Juan is Dead is a line of tile-based artwork by my friend, Leah Reeves. She is a former ad agency creative from London, and now makes these pieces fulltime. Each one is totally unique and made by hand. Most works feature her character, Juan, and friends from his world from the afterlife. It’s a curiously dark but colourful world. You’ll never look at tiles in the same way again.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
