The latest Don’t Panic poster artist to create free art for your walls is Johnny Kelly, who drew on the theme of Democracy. Rather than just opening Illustrator and vectoring out something about Obama and his dog, Kelly created a super-detailed paper sculpture of the human head as a giant machine, and then photographed it. Of the project, he says: ‘The model was first sketched out a number of times in my notebook. Once that was fully worked out, I planned out the model more rigidly on computer, then got cutting. After everything was stuck into place, my friend Linda Brownlee — a photographer — came over and shot it with a Hasselblad camera. The actual model is A1 in size, so we needed to shoot it on film rather than digital to make sure we could capture as much detail as possible’.
Made out of biodegradable materials, Help Remedies aims to provide uncomplicated medical solutions to simple health issues. ‘Help I cut myself’ has band-aids stored inside, and ‘Help I have an aching body’ contains ibuprofen pills. On those rare occasions when I feel the need to treat myself to an absolutely mind (and wallet) blowing meal, I love to come here. The restaurant is housed in an old diner (the old trailer style diners) which makes for some fun ambiance. Plus, the menu changes every week, so there’s never a written menu. The waiter comes out with a pen and writes the entire menu down on the butcher paper covering your table. Aside from all that, the food is absolutely unbelievable!
This is an amazing international contemporary art website. It’s kinda like a long list of images and videos that’s updated daily.
Hailing from upstate New York, Phantogram were signed by the uber-hip Ghostly label on the recommendation of School of Seven Bells. Hardly surprising given Phantogram’s dark, beats-and-samples pop sound.

My friend Josh Van Horne, a local Baltimore artist, did this amazing mural in our neighborhood that depicts the history of this warehouse-laden area.
