Found object artist, Brandi Couvillion, has created a new line of chic cuffs with a striking balance of delicate intricacies and industrial chic.

Couvillion’s line, inspired by ephemeral objects, feature etched impressions of fleeting items from our lives: leaves, feathers, and petals, boldly interpreted on a metal canvas. They highlight hand-forged antique escutcheons and hinges, bringing an architectural history to a piece of jewelry. Couvillion’s cuffs and other items are featured in the Lost At E Minor store.

Sara Lynch is an artist who lives so far north in New York State that she is almost Canadian. She makes hybrid functional ceramic sculptures and crazy mixed-media paintings on old clothing. But it’s her new line of jewellery that I’m interested in right now.

Lynch collects lots of small lightweight things to sew onto her paintings. One day she was looking at a pair of vintage plastic lemons when she realized she had the perfect ingredients to make some fabulous jewellery. After a trip to the craft store for some basic supplies, she went to work. And her new line of jewelry was born. Detroit designer Beatriz Tellez, has launched a new line of dangerous necklaces. Handcrafted with suede, nails and antique chandelier parts, each piece is packaged in a trim, black booklet and reflects inspiration drawn from industrial and military aesthetics. Wear at your own risk!
