This August, hundreds of cafes, wineries, retailers and galleries around South Australia will pretty up their spaces by showcasing the work of some of the States’ best amateur, emerging and established artists. The South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA) runs between August 5 and 24, providing visual artists a chance to promote, sell and workshop their creations.

It’s official, I’m back into jewellery after detoxing from the 2001 chandelier earring craze. Aurélie Bidermann used to work at Sotheby’s New York in their Impressionist and Contemporary Art department but has been slowly raising though the ranks as one of the most innovative jewellery designers around today. These stylish hoops of bronze have a profound effect on me. I’m seriously left singing If I Were A Boy Beyonce-style whenever I see them.
