My first solo show, Crossing the Divide, spans two years of art making in the depths of my San Francisco studio without deadlines, diversions or outside influences. In this body of work, I continue to explore the creative urge to perform, and paint the lives of artists and musicians I’m surrounded by in the Bay Area.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
