I often do. And whenever I get stuck for ideas, I go to Charles & Marie. They always have the latest design-y gift ideas. Today, for instance, I fetched this new product, Tengu for my agent’s birthday. It’s a little USB toy lip that syncs with music. So cute.
Sausage casings filled with acrylic paint. For almost €300. Isn’t half of Europe going through a debt crisis right now?
I can often be caught gazing at other figurative artist’s work, but this lady’s paintings are quite spellbinding. Her haunting images hold fast in your mind. And not only does she paint, she designs and sews her model’s costumes to boot. Read more

Only the French can get away with the sort of effete, gothic electropop that Position Parallele make. It’s hard to tell if the duo’s deadpan is supposed to be funny or not, but it’s pretty hard not to pull some angular, jerky dance moves when listening to their New Order-ish tunes.
London fashion collective Noi Wear are knocking out some seriously cool garments at the moment, with each range based on a tantalizingly bohemian theme. Check out their online promotion for the Carnival of Fear line, mixing performance arts with straight up fashion. Very tempting to the eyes. Read more

This ‘communication prosthesis’ by designer Sascha Nordmeyer is hilarious and awesome. I want to wear one to a job interview.
