Dock Ellis and The LSD No-No is a short animated film by Brooklyn illustrator James Blagden: ‘In June of 1970, Dock Phillip Ellis Jr., a major league pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, threw a no-hitter while high on acid and Benzedrine. Featuring a narration by Dock himself, The LSD No-No is the telling of this legendary tale, straight from the horse’s mouth’.

I think Anne Geddes spent ten years in the desert with Dr. Seuss doing hallucinogens. She woke up one searing Nevada morning and decided her new name was Peggy Noland. Then she moved to Kansas City and released the line that is currently featured on her website. At least, that’s what I think.

Oh man! Now I’ve seen it all. An entire blog dedicated to cupcakes, those perfect little bundles of sweet, sweet goodness. Hell, my mouth is watering just looking at them. What will they think of next? A blog about pretzels? Ha! Oh, wait a minute. Damn!

Silver Summit make the sort of hazy psych-folk that would suit a long, night-time drive through the badlands. Incorporating an array of acoustic instruments, strings, slide guitar, and haunting female vocals into gossamer melodies, the collective sound like they hail from a dusty town on the Great Plains rather than their native Brooklyn.
