We’re a few months away from October 21, 2015 (the date Marty McFly arrives in the future) and we still don’t have self-tying shoes or hoverboards. We do, however, have Doc Brown’s time machine, sans the time traveling capability. In Japan, Bandai has released an iPhone case that’s a miniature replica of the Back to the Future DeLorean.
We’ve seen our fair share of aggressive iPhone cases — like the one with, oh, pepper spray — but we have to say this iPhone case that promises to deliver a painful 650K volt attack via its concealed stun gun really takes the cake.
Jad Fair is an underappreciated American icon. You may not know him by name, but his old band, Half Japanese, helped shape modern Alternative Rock. Since Half Japanese, Fair has essentially not stopped working. He is as prolific as ever recording new music, as well as drawing and doing elaborate paper-cuttings. His drawings and designs […]
If you don’t already find your iPhone fun enough to play with, you can now turn it into a LEGO brick thanks to design company Tinkerbrick. Users can make LEGO creations, using their phone as a base or as part of the design. Some have even built structures to support their phone while recording video. For just $33 it sounds like a good investment to us. Check out what iPhone/LEGO enthusiasts have been up to below.
Finally, a phone case that not only protects your phone, but goes on the offensive too and attacks people. Yes, the all-American Spraytect Pepper Spray Phone Case comes with a pepper spray cartridge that makes macing assailants in the face a breeze of a squeeze. What’s cool: you can probably snap a picture of your assailant’s WTF face as he gets maced. What’s not so cool: ruining your red velvet cupcake with your finger on the wrong button. You’ll just have to get your triggers right.
Finally! This is the iPhone case anyone with fingers that are, erm, above average size has been waiting for. The Spike iPhone case is currently a Kickstarter project but if it launches it will, in the words of its creators, ‘complement your phone’s elegant form factor, and at the same time let you type and text easier, faster, and with fewer mistakes, under virtually all conditions. What’s more, ‘you can easily transition from typing to making or receiving a call, launching any of your apps, or playing Angry Birds, and then back to typing’. Genius.
