I had the pleasure of exhibiting with Humna in the same gallery but in different rooms some time ago. On opening night, I found myself spending most of the time in her exhibition rather than my own, having her do a henna on my hand and being astounded at the skill of her work. Her art is sublime – structured yet free flowing, intricate and simply beautiful, much like Humna herself.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
