Patricia Piccinini’s otherworldly art will make your heart skip a beat at Hobart’s Dark Mofo festival
There’s a new art exhibition coming to Hobart and it’s beyond your wildest dreams. Picture gritty and grotesque sculptures of vulva-shaped orchids, ‘rubbish gods’ and mysterious fungi. Yep, if you didn’t guess by now, the artists coming to Hobart’s annual Dark Mofo fest are Patricia Piccinini and Peter Hennessey, two of Australia’s best (and most surreal) artists.
The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Hobart, Tasmania, has been on the Lost At E Minor radar for some time. So we were delighted to be invited to attend the opening of the Theatre of the World exhibition.
