In April 2011, UK-based illustrator Mr Bingo started a hate mail service where he’d decorate postcards with offensive messages (e.g. ‘You are a loser and you have a fat back) and post these to the designated recipents. It was such a hit that he had to temporarily close the service after six days. He eventually did 400 hate mail postcards and ended up publishing 100 in a book. We love how hilariously petty and irreverent these are — and there’s not one ounce of spite in them.
UK illustrator and biting wit, Mr Bingo, decided to keep the tradition of postcard sending alive through touching and thoughtful insults. And who doesn’t love a good dose of swearing and hand-rendered personal attacks arriving on their door mat? If only this service were still running, I’d be shelling out 20 quid to be told I’ll ‘never be as good as Peter Andre’. Luckily the 400 bits of hate mail have now been collated into a lovely book.
