Korean architects, Mass Studies, have attacked the idea of housing typology in this project for a Seoul Commune in the year 2026. The buildings are comprised of public and private cells; technology is harnessed to make the private cells more private and the public cells more public. I went into this taxidermy store today in the Mission, San Francisco. There’s something appealing about dead stuffed animals trying to look cute.
Remember how the forgotten (and the forbidden) places attracted you as a child? Well, I think I never got past that phase. I haven’t had the courage to do any big scale explorations yet, but while I’m planning for it, Forbidden Places is a good place to see what other people are finding in hidden places around the globe. Méduse is a self-initiated project that I started while studying in London. I was printing a jellyfish inspired series of t-shirts and bags which I was selling or giving to friends. The concept has evolved a bit since then. I try to find time to launch two series’ a year, available only online.
