Patrick Hruby is a mentor of mine and a genius illustrator and designer. His work is geometrically created and stunningly beautiful, with wonderful use of color. His work never fails to amaze me. Or make me smile.

With his recycled cable spools covered in geometric shapes and graphic patterns, the Melbourne-based artist not only makes this world a more colorful place, but also demonstrates that he’s very environmentally-friendly.

Matthew Craven overlays grids of geometric patterns over historical photographs and combines drawn and collage elements to create eye-catching compositions that suggest science fiction as much as they do tribal art. He has a joint show with Julian C. Duron called Lordz of the Flyze at Nudashank in Baltimore until February 5th.
